If there’s any one thing that really defines October, it has to be the pumpkin. From pumpkin patches, to pumpkin recipes, to pumpkin carving, this beloved gourd is definitely the “it girl” this season. While a classic carved pumpkin will never go out of style, I thought it would be fun to put our own LC.com twist on pumpkin decorating. So, my team and I gathered our supplies and spent an afternoon crafting ten creative pumpkins. My hands may still be covered in spray paint, but I think it was worth it.

1. Solid Painted Pumpkins
I love the way these pink, white and gold pumpkins turned out. To create them, we painted the pumpkins with acrylic paint using a paintbrush (about three coats…we used a hair dryer to speed-dry in between) then topped off the stems with gold paint for a fun twist. They took a couple of hours to dry completely—word to the wise!2. Fishnet Pumpkins
How cute are these fishnet pumpkins? They were probably the simplest pumpkins we created all day. Just place your stockings over the pumpkin, letting the stems poke through at the top, then tie a knot at the bottom and snip off the extra fabric. We finished it off by painting the stems black.
