Carly here!

I don’t think I am alone in saying that, more often than not, my hairstyle “trend” of choice is the ponytail. But occasionally I invest some time into doing my hair and I wonder (before attempting the beach-waves style for the hundredth time) what exactly is on trend in hair these days. And so I did some searching for a qualified source (Hollywood stylist Rachel Zoe) and found a feature on  The Zoe Report about fall hairstyle trends. Check it out! (You may also be relieved to know the trends include “a ponytail!” Phew.)

The Best Hairstyle Trends for Fall 2015

1. It may sound too good to be true, but effortless beach waves are here to stay. Next season, stray away from the crunchy, ultra-texturized look and work with the natural wave of your hair. Apply an anti-frizz serum in a twisting motion to get an effortless finish without the flyaways.

This fall, update your go-to hairstyle (while still keeping your strands out of your face) by trying something a bit more visually interesting. Try a sleek knot or a braided bun and wear it lower than usual–high knots at the crown are so last season.
