i can still remember the first book i enjoyed reading. the great gatsby. in miss tarzinski’s freshman literature class. since then, i’ve been on an ever-increasing journey of falling in love with the written word. in all it’s forms. recently, i’ve either matured enough to confidently allow fiction back into my repertoire. she helped. i try to keep a fiction and a non-fiction going at all times.
some recent affairs:
finished & loved…
how did it take me so long to read this classic? no idea. invigorating read…
modern day classic. is that a thing? in this case it is. really enjoyed this lengthy, spiraling storyline novel.
his brain and articulation inspire me so. he mixes big picture and little picture thinking and applying and just speaks right into my creative side. his words put me to action. and this book was my favorite of his yet. and then, AND THEN! this….
my dear friend, kate, recommended this one. and kate’s word is as good as gold. gold covered in white chocolate and sparkles and smells like lilies. and i love how it makes me think & ache & wish. and i love to think of reading it to my children as one of our first chapter read-alouds.
have you ever been at the early stages of something you know is about to be INCREDIBLE? life-changing. this group of women, this season, this study. at ease with strength and at rest with power.
i have been sitting on this one for awhile. and frankly, i’m waiting until i am on the beach in the french riviera at the end of june.
just saw this on her blog and added it to my list. stat.
any recommendations, friends?! would love to hear what you’re reading or what’s shifting your paradigm!
