Summer Trends – Harper’s Bazaar

Carly here!

My sister Corinne recently returned to the United States after living out of the country, and we got on the topic of summer trends on this side of the world. I mostly frequent playgrounds and the grocery store, so I might not be the person to ask. But Harper’s Bazaar has a fabulous resource page if you are looking for some inspiration for your summer wardrobe. I highlight a few of the trends that caught my eye below, but check out the full page by clicking here.

1. Art-Inspired Pieces (how unique are those geometric earrings?)

2. Denim-on-denim (try contrasting shades, as worn by Miranda Kerr)

3. Crop tops (this loose shell is a classy version of the traditionally tight cropped top)

4. Any shade of blue (or two shades, as shown in the pictured handbag)

5. Head-scarf (I’m trying to visualize wearing this without one of my kids yanking it off…)

6. Gladiator sandals (how cute are these metallic gold ones?)

7. Red, white and blue (especially in unique patterns, like these shorts)

8. Stripes (how can you go wrong?)

9. Tropical-inspired fashion (including fruity and bright-hued pieces)

tropical twist fruity prints hot hued brights

10. White sundresses (this lacy number is modeled by Karlie Kloss)

11. One-piece swimsuits (this is not your mother’s one-piece)

12. Straw purses and handbags (in light and dark hues)
